First, if anybody’s been injured, There are certain things you need to remember to do and not do when Taking Pictures of Car Accidents:

You want to call emergency services. Your health is the number one priority. That being said, it can be helpful to take pictures in the event you are in a car accident.

We suggest taking pictures of everything from every angle. Taking pictures of your car as well as pictures of the other car are both very important. It’s not only important to take photos up close, but you can also go stand on the sidewalk and take pictures from a little bit more of a distance. You will also need to take pictures of the other driver’s license.

The main idea is that you will want to take pictures of everything. That being said, we would suggest that you do not post any of the photos of the accident at all on social media. If you do post on social media, for example: “Hey, I was in a car accident. I’m lucky I wasn’t injured”, and then it turns out the next day you actually do have some neck injuries, it could end up coming back in a court case in the future and potentially hurt your case.

In conclusion, we encourage you to take pictures, but we strongly advise against posting on social media.
