Many realtors probably have their real estate license hanging in their individual names at their broker’s office. However, there are other options.
In Nevada you can also hang your license in a Limited Liability Company (LLC) or a Professional Corporation (PC). The caveat is that it has to be in your legal name. For example, my name is Sarah Morris and my real estate license is hanging in the name of “Sarah Morris LLC.”
The initial cost to the State of Nevada to set up either entity is $425 and the annual cost is $350. The advantages to doing this include potential tax savings and flexibility with respect to how you are paying yourself as well as liability protection.
